"When my two children were small I researched Baby swimming lessons in my area and realised that there were very few lessons out there for their age. In 2004 when my youngest child was one, I trained with Birthlight as a baby and toddler swimming instructor. I then went on to gain experience with another swim school. In 2008 Baby and Toddler Swim was founded, when I opened my own baby and toddler swim school.
As my babies and toddlers grew, so did my swim school. Junior Swim was founded in January 2009
Our Swimming Instructors offer a gentle and loving approach that ensures your child is taught to move freely in the water and at such a time when your baby/toddler/child is physically and emotionally ready, will swim confidently.

"When I had my first child I took him along to baby swimming classes and loved the whole idea of introducing babies from a very young age into the water and watching the natural progression they made into young swimmers.
I then went on in 2007 to complete my Birthlight training as a Baby and toddler swimming instructor and then on to do my STA course. "I started swimming at the age of five and by the age of nine I was a competitive county swimmer for Maidstone. I decided I wanted to give back to the sport I loved and adored, for which I started to teach voluntary at the age of fourteen and then went onto complete my STA course.
The idea of being able to pass on my knowledge and teach young children to become confident and independent in the water was very appealing. I believe that swimming is a vital life skill and that lessons should be taught in a fun and relaxed way to appeal to young children." - Jade
All our swimming instructors are Birthlight trained, are STA Qualified and hold a Poolside Helpers Certificate (Lifeguard). They are also Police Checked and Fully Insured.
